Summer staff are hired as part of the Blue Lake staff team because they are experienced,  qualified, and enjoy working with children of all ages.  They are also motivated and dedicated to make each camper's stay one that is full of learning opportunities, safe, fun, and memorable!  All of our staff are First Aid and CPR certified, half of them are lifeguard certified and every adult leader on camp has been background checked.    Above all, Blue Lake summer staff are here because they are passionate about working with children and getting to watch them grow through the years to reach their own potential.

Terms of work


Summer staff is expected to arrive the Sunday before staff training begins so that they can move into their rooms and meet the other staff.  Staff are expected to work 11 weeks, which includes a week of paid staff training and and a week of paid activity training. Some staff may be asked to work an additional week prior to or after the summer in order to get ready for or help close down summer programs.
